SAP‘s Australian business plans to invest $150 million over a five-year period in the future SAP Institute of Digital Government and a new data center in Canberra, Inside SAP reported Monday.
Freya Purnell reports that the data center will offer SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud services to support citizen services and cloud-first policies at Australian federal government agencies.
The SAP Institute of Digital Government, which is scheduled to open by next year, and the future Canberra data center will add to the company’s cloud provision coverage, the report said.
SAP has a Sydney data center for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud and other data centers for SuccessFactors and SAP Business ByDesign, Purnell writes.
She adds that the institute will feature virtual and physical innovation centers, a briefing center and a showcase facility and hire 250 local developers, product architects and other SAP professionals.
