Northrop Grumman  has completed the integrated baseline review for the U.S. Air Force‘s Enhanced Polar System Control and Planning Communication technology.
The company performed production, deployment and initial sustainment evaluation for the communications system the Air Force uses to transmit telemetry and supplies configuration commands and cryptographic planning to polar users, Northrop said Monday.
The military’s satellite communications systems directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California plans to procure the system.
“The Northrop Grumman team in partnership with the MILSATCOM customer have worked very hard the past several months to ensure this second IBR shows the program is ready for this next phase,” said Linnie Haynesworth, vice president and general manager of Northrop’s ISR division.
The review covered resources allocated to EPS CAPS and risk monitoring and management processes.
Northrop won the EPS CAPS contract in November 2012.
The company performed the design, development and testing phases in California, Florida and Massachusetts.
