Level 3 Communications will offer Google‘s cloud platform to cloud ecosystem users in an effort to help developers and enterprises develop and deploy applications on Google’s infrastructure.
Level 3 intends for the Google Cloud Platform to provide connectivity to enterprises via Google Cloud Interconnect, Level 3 said Wednesday.
“The network is a critical link in enabling cloud computing, and the combination of Google Cloud Platform and Level 3 reinforces our commitment to offering our customers more choice and flexibility when it comes to making the important decisions around their cloud needs,” said Anthony Christie, chief marketing officer at Level 3.
Christie added that Level 3 designed its Cloud Connect service to fulfill public and private networking demand of enterprises “regardless of the network architecture or bandwidth required.”
Level 3 will also work with organizations to develop wide area networks with Level 3 Cloud Connect through the company’s  private Multiprotocol Label Switching network and security portfolio.
