KBR Inc. has won a five-year, $50 million contract to renovate, repair and maintain the U.S. Navy‘s base in Africa.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity job order to KBR to support the Defense Department‘s activities in Djibouti, Africa, KBR said Friday.

“KBR’s prior success working in Djibouti has led to the award of this contract,” said Stuart Bradie, KBR president and CEO.

“We have successfully delivered on projects in harsh, complex environments in which the military has served and this project is no different,” Bradie added.
