ExecutiveBiz spoke to senior leaders at some of the GovCon sector’s most notable firms to find out whom they turn to when they need to fill an executive position.In our conversations, those GovCon leaders offered us the names of 10 executive recruiters they believe “you need to know.”

Jeremy King: King is co-founder and managing partner of Benchmark Executive Search. He brings more than 13 years of executive search experience and focuses on the federal market.
Trina Gordon: Gordon is president and CEO of Boyden World. Prior to Boyden, she was a partner at William H. Clark Associates. In 2008 Gordon was recognized by Business Week as one of the “50 Most Influential Headhunters in the World.”
Thomas Berray:  Berray is a managing partner at Cabot Consultants. He holds more than 12 years of experience in executive recruiting and is a former principal for the technology practice at Heidrick & Struggles.
Evan Scott: Scott is president and one of the founding partners of ESGI. Scott is a three-decade veteran in the GovCon executive search space.
Tracy Wolstencroft: Wolstencroft is the CEO of Heidrick & Struggles. He previously held leadership positions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. during his 25-year career there, 16 of which he spent as a partner.
Gary Burnison: Burnison is CEO of Korn Ferry. He holds more than 30 years of experience and has held executive positions at firms such as Guidance Solutions, Jefferies & Co. and KPMG Peat Marwick.
Patrick Friel: Friel is a managing partner at Lochlin Partners and is a two-decade veteran in the executive search industry. Prior to Lochlin Partners, he served as a managing partner at Heidrick & Struggles‘ Washington office.
Andi Jennings: Jennings is president and CEO of the Lucas Group. She is a 35-year veteran of the executive recruiting industry.
William McCormick: McCormick is the founder and CEO of The McCormick Group. The 34-year executive search industry veteran previously worked at Lulejian & Associates and KPMG Peat Marwick.
Patrick Gray: Gray is a partner and managing director at NorthWind Partners‘ Virginia office. He previously served as a partner at Korn Ferry, is a former U.S Army intelligence officer and served at the branch’s Intelligence and Security Command.
