Susan Penfield serves as a senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she focuses on the management and strategic use of health information technology tools and leads the firm’s Systems Development Center for Excellence.
Penfield oversees work to develop strategies for health data interoperability, analytics tools for health information, the integration of health information, health IT modernization and implementing programs to support data sharing and analysis.
Penfield has worked with agencies such as the departments of Defense, Health and Human Services and Veterans Affairs; Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and National Institutes for Health.
She serves on the boards of directors for Healthy Women, Women in Technology, Women’s Center and the National Institutes of Health Children’s Inn.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in technology management from Lock Haven University and a certificate in management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business.
