Neel Mehta
John Vollmer, executive vice president of operations at URS‘ federal services business, oversees all operating activities from planning to implementation as well as the marketing, business development and technology functions of the company.
He previously served as general manager of the business’ systems engineering and technology group, which provides support to the Defense Department and other agencies in the fields of science, engineering and analytics.
Vollmer has worked with military and government clients for more than three decades in roles such as VP of C4 systems at ITT Communications Systems and EDO Corp.
His career also includes time as chief financial officer, finance and administration director and treasurer at Darlington Incorporated.
Vollmer also supported the submarine combat systems program offices of the U.S. Navy while at EG&G, which is now a division of URS.
