Airforce logoThe Department of the Air Force is looking at alternative ways to manage its information technology assets, according to a sources sought notice posted Friday on the FedBizOpps website.

This request for information aims to identify companies that can provide a comprehensive IT asset management service at the enterprise level, including a three-year cost estimate.

According to the notice, all white papers should address software license management, scalability and data hosting function over a long-term period.

It indicated that the military service is keen to put in place an ITAM setup by June 2016 covering multiple operating systems in both classified and unclassified, disconnected and standalone environments.

The contracting office — Air Force Lifecycle Management Center/Air Force Program Executive Office Business Enterprise System — has set a deadline for responses on Nov. 25.
