Computer Sciences Corp. and MobileIron will collaborate to develop cloud-based applications designed to help U.S. military and civil government organizations secure mobile data.
The companies seek to integrate MobileIron’s enterprise cloud device management platform into CSC’s mobile security offerings for the federal sector, MobileIron said Wednesday.
MobileIron says its technology is built to manage iOS and Android portable devices operating in the cloud, separate personal and enterprise data, and retire apps in a lost or stolen device.
“Our customers understand the transformative power of mobility and the cloud, and they want to securely provide end users with the mobile apps, content and devices that support the way they want to work,” said Yogesh Khanna, chief technology office of CSC’s North American public sector business.
CSC works with federal agencies to help them form mobility strategies and develop cross-platform apps, as well as offers device lifecycle management and help desk support services.
