Cloudera and Teradata have expanded their partnership with the goal of rolling their enterprise data hub and warehouse products into a single big data management system.
The companies also agreed to collaborate on software integration, go-to-market strategies, product reselling, and support services, Teradata said Thursday.
According to Teradata, the alliance seeks to help enterprises analyze multiple data sources through the firm’s Unified Data Architecture.
“Our vision for an enterprise data hub is that it complements key solutions like an integrated data warehouse to deliver real value in big data,” said Tom Reilly, Cloudera’s CEO.
Scott Gnau, president of Teradata Labs, said adding Cloudera’s technology to the UDA portfolio would expand customer access to big data products.
Teradata has built software connectors that are designed to integrate with open-source Apache Hadoop platform and certified to operate with Cloudera Enterprise.
The collaboration also allows Teradata to resell Cloudera’s portfolio of enterprise-grade tehcnology, training and professional service offerings.
