Saab has won a $20 million contract to develop vehicle simulators for live training of the Norwegian military.
The BT46 dual simulator as a next-generation military training system that can be used in a variety of scenarios, the company said Aug. 29.
Henrik Hojer, head of Saab Training & Simulation, said the company considers its clients in the Norwegian market among its key partners.
The vehicle training system has real-time ballistics and time of flight simulation tools to report to both gunner and target at the same time, capabilities that Saab said would extend the Norwegian Army’s live training capabilities at its combat training center in eastern Norway.
