CAE will provide New Zealand’s defense forces with updates and life-cycle and maintenance support for their Kaman SH-2G(I) Super Seasprite synthetic pilot training devices for 15 years.
The company said Tuesday it will update NZDF’s SH-2G(I) Full Mission Flight Simulator and SH-2G(I) Part Task Trainer, which Kaman will deliver along with 10 SH-2G(I) helicopters to the New Zealand air force base in Whenuapai, Auckland.
“We are pleased to extend our relationship with the New Zealand Defence Force following contracts earlier this year in support of New Zealand’s T-6C Pilot Training program and the establishment of CAE New Zealand Pty Ltd,” said Peter Redman, vice president and general manager of CAE Oceania.
Work under the new contracts will focus on the host computer, tactical environment, sensor systems and instructor operator station and the installation of CAE Medallion-6000.
CAE said it will provide on-site training and maintenance support at RNZAF Base Auckland through 2030 following the scheduled 2015 delivery of the training devices.
