Information Builders has integrated its healthcare software application into a NetApp-built data storage product with the goal of helping medical users capture, analyze and store patient information in real time.
The unified offering is designed to combine Information Builders’ Omni-Patient enterprise data management platform and NetApp’s flash array storage architecture, Information Builders said Thursday.
“Today’s healthcare providers face tremendous challenges as they juggle patient data stemming from myriad systems and organizations,” said Gerald Cohen, Information Builders president and CEO.
Dave Nesvisky, executive director for NetApp’s healthcare business, added the joint technology platform seeks to help customers manage and exchange terabytes of clinical data.
The Omni-Patient app is built with data integration and warehousing features, a master patient index and compliance metrics.
Pennsylvania-based Lehigh Valley Health Network has adopted an NetApp FAS infrastructure that runs Information Builders’ Omni-Patient and WebFOCUS business analytics software technology.
