Leidos selected XTAR late last year to provide colocation space in Mount Jackson, Virginia to host tests of an airborne communications system on an manned intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft used by the U.S. Army.
XTAR said Aug. 20 that tests held at the Mount Jackson teleport includes Leidos’ X-band antenna and terrestrial connectivity network that leverages the XTAR-LANT satellite system.
Andrew Ruszkowski, XTAR chief commercial officer, said his company aims to provide an environment that supports government and other X-band stakeholders such as developers and integrators.
The contract with Leidos is effective through July 2015.
