Dave Swindle serves as executive vice president of international and special programs at URS‘ federal services division.
In this role, he serves as URS’s executive for coordinating international operations and new international business development with line responsibility for contracts with the U.K. defense ministry of and international organizations that include but not limited to the United Nations and NATO.
Swindle holds more than 30 years of experience in program management including profit and loss responsibilities for defense, aerospace, national and homeland security, intelligence, contingency operations, logistics and nuclear industries.
He joined URS in 2009 after time as an independent defense and energy services consultant and is also a former president of IAP Worldwide Services.
Previously, Swindle served as VP of business acquisition and national security programs for KBR’s government & infrastructure division and also has served as VP and assistant general manager for EG&G’s engineering and technology services division.
Additionally, Swindle was a member of the U.S. Army‘s science board, Energy Department’s environmental management advisory board, and has served in advisory capacities to the assistant secretary of defense for chemical, nuclear and biological programs.
Swindle is a registered professional engineer in seven states.
He holds an M.B.A. degree in industrial management from the University of Tennessee, a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in engineering science from Tennessee Technological University.
