Joseph Peters Joins Vantage Health as President, Board Member

Joseph Peters, formerly the White House Drug Policy Office’s acting deputy director for state and local affairs, has joined Vantage Health as president and member of the board of directors.

He will succeed board member Will Rees and help lead efforts to bring the company’s technology to law enforcement operations for narcotics detection, Vantage Health said Wednesday.

The 25-year law enforcement and homeland security veteran most recently worked to integrate technology into federal, state and local law enforcement operations under the Clinton and George W.  Bush administrations.

Peters oversaw the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program and served as the White House Drug Czar’s liaison to the White House Office of Homeland Security under then-Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge.

He also managed the nation’s 26 HIDTA’s and their budgets.
