Tom Vecchiolla serves as president of Raytheon International Inc. and is responsible for the company’s international sales and marketing efforts.
Prior to his current role, he was vice president of business development and strategy for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), where he was responsible for partnering to shape markets and for creating business opportunities.
Previously, Vecchiolla served as director of strategy & government relations and director of naval programs for IDS.
Before joining Raytheon, he was vice president of government programs for Commerce One e-Government Solutions.
In his public-sector career, Vecchiolla served as legislative assistant for national security and military affairs to Sen. Olympia Snowe.
He also worked on Capitol Hill as an active-duty U.S. Navy captain and Brookings Institution legislative fellow on the personal staff of Sen. William Cohen.
Vecchiolla retired from the Navy after 22 years of service as a naval aviator and a designated Department of Defense acquisition professional.
He holds a master’s degree in systems management from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the U.S. Naval Academy. He also undertook MBA studies at Marymount University.
