DigitalGlobe has awarded MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates a contract to develop a ground infrastructure for an international user of DigitalGlobe’s Earth observation satellites.
MDA said Tuesday the ground station platform will work to help the customer access data and imagery from the WorldView constellation.
The ground station will be using an MDA multi-satellite architecture, according to the communications and information technology firm.
WorldView-3 entered service on Aug. 13 and is built to capture hyperspectral images of the Earth’s surface.
