data ServersCGI will continue to provide operational information technology and infrastructure services to a Nordic payment and card services firm for another three years under a three-year contract extension.

CGI said Wednesday it has been providing IT support, including server and data center hosting, to the Nordic payment and card services company since 2010.

“In addition to delivering operational services … we have delivered real-time card payment systems and solutions for authority reporting and for the prevention of money laundering and card payment fraud,” said Leena-Mari Lahteenmaa, CGI infrastructure management and outsourcing vice president in Finland.

She noted that CGI is also exploring cloud services due to growing demand in the banking and finance industry.
