An integrated clinical electronics records system that CGI developed for University College London Hospitals will soon be available for use by other healthcare providers in the U.K.
Calum Macleod, vice president of healthcare for CGI in the U.K., said the e-CareLogic tool works to help healthcare professionals and hospital managers gain access to patient data and information.
“By CGI working alongside UCLH to offer e-CareLogic, other healthcare trusts can benefit from this partnership approach,†Macleod said Thursday.
CGI initially created e-CareLogic to provide 7,000 UCLH clinicians with a portal to pull up patient data from disparate hospital systems.
Under the partnership, CGI said it has agreed to update the platform for UCLH and other institutions to include a mobile application capability for on-the-go access in any hospital environment.
