General Dynamics‘ C4 systems business unit and technology startup Raellic Systems have entered into a licensing agreement covering a software product designed to protect computers against malicious threats.
Raellic licensed the General Dynamics C4 Systems-made Pitbull trusted operating system and intends to pair the product with a Raellic communications security platform, Raellic said Wednesday.
Pitbull is built to provide multi-level system protection by enforcing mandatory access control, fine grained authorization and auditing tools.
Andrew Watters, Raellic Systems director, said that U.S. government organizations have been using the technology to safeguard classified information and networks.
General Dynamics C4 Systems designed the software to employ an in-browser encryption algorithm with the goal of preventing intrusion on data communications.
