Serco Inc. has been awarded a potential $31 million contract to install and update close-in weapons systems on U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard ships.
The contract contains a one-year base period and two option years, Serco said Monday.
“This program is a great addition to our C4ISR portfolio and we are ready to apply our experience to further the United States military and its shipboard defense systems,†said Dan Allen, Serco chairman and CEO.
Serco will perform work in Virginia, California, Hawaii, Florida, Washington, as well as various overseas ports.
The weapon system works to detect and destroy anti-ship missile threats.
