The U.S. Defense Department has approved an Appian mobile business process management platform that works to manage enterprise functions and communications.
Appian’s BPM tool is now available on a Defense Information Systems Agency-operated mobile application store for DoD organizations, Appian said Monday.
“Our participation in DOD MAS provides all branches the ability to take advantage of modern mobile apps that can be deployed across the entire workforce,” said Chris O’Connell, Appian vice president of federal sales.
The company designs native mobile apps to help users collaborate, receive alerts, send requests and integrate the apps with customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning and database systems.
DoD’s MAS platform currently supports approximately 1,800 unclassified mobile devices and is built to accommodate as many as 100,000 users, according to Appian.
