Neel Mehta
Andrew Maner serves as a managing partner for the U.S. federal business at IBM Global Business Services and focuses on managing profit-and-loss for the unit.
Maner served as CEO of National Interest Security Co., a provider of information and technology management consulting services, until IBM acquired the capital-backed firm in 2010.
He works to develop services in data center consolidation, cloud computing, enterprise resource planning implementation, predictive analytics and data warehousing for IBM’s federal clients.
Maner served during former President George W. Bush’s administration as chief financial officer at the Department of Homeland Security until 2006, with responsibility for consolidating the Transportation Security Agency, U.S. Cost Guard, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Federal Emergency Management Agency into DHS.
From January 2002 to January 2004, he served as chief of staff of the then U.S. Customs Service under Commissioner Robert Bonner.
Maner previously served as vice president for development and sales for ICG Commerce after he worked as a principal at aligne, a technology consulting firm.
He received various awards including his selection to the FED100 in 2010 for achievements in federal government-contracting community partnership and the Coast Guard’s Distinguished Public Service Award in 2006.
Maner earned his master’s degree in business administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and serves as chairman of Purdue University’s dean’s advisory board for the School of Liberal Arts.
