VerizonLogo1 EbizA new Harvard Business Review report found that many companies have increased their business agility by using cloud computing technology, Verizon‘s Kevin King wrote in a Friday blog post.

One-third of respondents to the Verizon-funded poll said cloud-based systems work to simplify internal functions and almost 40 percent said the technology helps bolster data security, according to King.

King says some respondents cited innovation and cost reduction as factors driving cloud computing usage in their organizations.

HBR surveyed 527 of its readers from large and medium enterprises globally for the report.
