Matthew Clarke, a retired U.S. Army colonel, has joined TAPE LLC as vice president of modeling, simulation and training at the company’s Strong Point Research division.
The company said Wednesday that Clarke begins work for his new role this month and will lead a division that was formed following TAPE’s acquisition of Strong Point Research in September 2013.
“This executive role requires a leader who can promote TAPE’s MS&T capabilities, recruit the highest-caliber talent and offer our clients innovative solutions,” said Louisa Jaffe, TAPEÂ CEOand president.
Clarke is a former director of the Army Research Lab Simulation and Training Technology Center and has 10 years of experience in combat systems and training.
At TAPE, he will oversee the company’s services government and defense clients in areas such as simulation-based combat exercises, program management modeling and classroom-based education.
