Lockheed Martin is working to supply ground-based human spaceflight services for the Orion crew vehicle under a $1.3 billion contract that SGT Inc. holds with NASA, Washington Technology reported Tuesday.
Mark Hoover writes SGT will support the International Space Station’s mission and flight crew operations under the Integrated Mission Operations Contract II program.
The company will work with Lockheed Martin, GHG, GeoControl Systems and Cimarron Software Services to train crews, flight controllers, instructors and analysts, as well as to execute activities for space exploration and ISS operations, according to the report.
Work is set to begin on Oct. 1 and a 61-day phase-in period is scheduled to start on Aug. 1.
