Kevin Craven, former CEO of Balfour Beatty Services, will join Britain-based government services contractor Serco as chief executive of the company’s U.K. central government division on Sept. 1.
Craven led Balfour Beatty Services for four years prior to his appointment at Serco, where he will also serve on that company’s executive committee, Serco said Friday.
“He is well known to many of our central government customers, and his appointment is a further important step in delivering our corporate renewal plan,” Serco Group CEO Rupert Soames said.
Serco said Craven oversaw 16,000 employees at Balfour Beatty Services and led a business focused in facility management, rail, highways and utilities.
Before joining Balfour Beatty, Craven served as managing director for healthcare, education and defense at Aramark; and as managing director of transport and travel for Sodexo.
