Donna Gregg, former mission area executive for cyber operations at the Johns Hopkins University Applied PhysicsÂ Laboratory, has moved into a new role as head of the lab’sÂ asymmetric operations sector.
Gregg will be responsible for overseeing APL’s work in cyber operations, homeland protection and special operations, the lab saidÂ Friday.
SheÂ assumes the role previously held by 40-year APL veteranÂ Dan Phillips, who retired in June.
Gregg holds a background in a variety of technical and leadership roles at APL and started there as a mathematician inÂ 1984.
BetweenÂ 2005 and 2011, she served first as theÂ information systems branch supervisor and then managing executive for the applied information sciences department.
