David Hardison, a three-decade biopharmaceutical veteran and ConvergeHEALTH by Deloitte vice president, has been appointed to chair the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium’s board of directors.
He held the chairman role at CDISC from 2005 to 2007 and has been supporting the nonprofit’s collaboration with the healthcare community to develop standards for clinical research data use, Deloitte said Monday.
“I have been a champion of CDISC for many years and look forward to my continued support of the organization and its vision to inform patient care and safety through higher quality medical research,” Hardison said.
“CDISC appreciates that ConvergeHEALTH supports the open-source development of data standards and innovation to improve medical research and interoperability in many areas of health care,” said Dr. Rebecca Kush, CDISC president and CEO.
Hardison is scheduled to present at the 2014 CDISC Asia-Pacific/Japan Interchange event on Thursday.
