A Cubic Corp. company has been awarded a $78.2 million contract to provide the U.S. Army’s Fort Polk, Louisiana-based training center with support services, Times of San Diego reported Monday.
Ken Stone writes Cubic Applications Inc. will develop theatre-specific combat, mission rehearsal, foreign security and combat forces training services for the Army’s Joint Readiness Training Center.
The San Diego, California-based Cubic business unit will perform work at Fort Polk, Louisiana, until June 30, 2015, according to the report.
The Defense Department says it intends for the training services to “prepare units for combat operations or deployment to combat theatre of operations.â€
