CACI International has awarded a second subcontract to xG Technology under a potential five-year, $497 million U.S. Army communications services contract that CACI holds a prime position on.
xG said Monday that it will provide communications and network systems research, development and evaluation on antennas, satellite communications, systems engineering, cybersecurity and communication networks.
John Coleman, xG CEO, said the company aims to use its cognitive radio technology, such as spectrum sensing and interference mitigation in helping bolster the military’s tactical communications systems.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contains three base years and two option years.
