xG Technology has been selected as subcontractor to provide communications and network services to the U.S. Army under a potential $497 million contract vehicle.
The company will team with SAIC, one of the prime contractors, under the five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract awarded by the Army’s Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center, xG announced Tuesday.
xG Technology will strive to provide research, development and evaluation in support of communications and networks systems under technology areas such as antennas, system engineering, satellite communication, cybersecurity and communications networks.

S&TCD, part of the CERDEC, provides wireless military communications and networking technologies by working to assure connectivity over longer ranges and diverse terrains.
