Science Applications International Corp CEO Tony Moraco and Chief Ethics Officer Laura Kennedy have been appointed to lead the Defense Industry Initiative on Business Ethics and Conduct’s steering committee and working group, respectively.
The company said Monday Moraco and Kennedy will succeed Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson and Vice President of Ethics and Sustainability Leo Mackay Jr. in their respective positions on the panels.
“We look forward to our new roles within this organization and to promoting the best ethical practices for the defense industry,” said Moraco.
The nonprofit organization of defense and security companies was formed in 1986 to set a code of business ethics for the industry, share best practices and ensure compliance, with 77 signatory companies to date.
The appointments were announced during DII’s recent Best Practices Forum in Washington.
