Raytheon UK has partnered with Falck Schmidt Defence Systems to build and sell a portfolio of auxiliary power units and integration service offerings in the North American and European defense markets.
The partnership is intended to combine Raytheon’s and Falck Schmidt’s experience in designing, manufacturing and testing integrated power systems for military use, Raytheon said Wednesday.
Stephen Doran, managing director of Raytheon’s power and control business, said the company aims to help customers address issues related to platform size, weight and power density through the agreement.
“Our alignment with Falck Schmidt will enable us to continue to offer customers a ‘one-stop’ approach to ensure our clients can take mission system electronics to market simpler, safer and swifter,” Doran added.
Falck Schmidt is also working with Raytheon UK to build a solid oxide fuel cell technology under a contract won by Falck Schmidt.
