NetApp Inc. has unveiled two fresh storage platform offerings in an effort to help customers meet growing data requirements.
Users will be able to drive their SAN and NAS workloads through the high-performance FAS8080 EX platform and consolidate ecosystems using the entry-level FAS2500 storage system, NetApp said Tuesday.
George Kurian, executive vice president of product operations at NetApp, said the company intends for the new offerings to help enterprises and service providers streamline their storage infrastructures and schedule business priorities.
FAS8080 EX is designed to scale up to nearly 70 Petabytes of capacity and with more than 600 I/O connections, NetApp said.
NetApp developed the FAS8080 EX with all-flash configurations for virtual desktop infrastructure deployments.
Service providers managing virtualized and cloud platforms also have access to the OnCommand Insight technology in order to deploy FAS8000 systems across diverse data centers.
