Michael Harper, deputy chairman and senior independent director at QinetiQ, will succeed the retiring Noreen Doyle as as chairperson of the board of directors’ remuneration committee next month.

QinetiQ Chairman Mark Elliott thanked Doyle for her leadership in international business and corporate finance and noted her contributions as a non-executive director since October 2005 and remuneration committee chair since August 2009.

“Noreen has been a member of the board from the company’s earliest days and provided great value as QinetiQ began its conversion from the public sector to a commercial organization,” Elliott said Tuesday.

The company also appointed Ian Mason to a non-executive director post and he will also serve on the board’s audit, remuneration, nominations, risk & CSR and security committees.
