Leidos sponsored the seventh annual Paralyzed Veterans’ Golf Open at the Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Va. that took place on Monday, the company said.
Paralyzed Veterans of America put on the golf tournament to support  Operation PAVE (Paving Access for Veterans Employment), which is meant to help veterans with disabilities get jobs.
“It’s been fantastic to see our relationship with Paralyzed Veterans of America grow over the past several years,†said Barbara Doornink, senior vice president and operations manager at Leidos.
“Between the PVGO and upcoming National Veterans Wheelchair Games this summer, Leidos is able to support Paralyzed Veterans of America on a larger scale and help make a greater impact in the lives of heroic veterans,†she added.
The golf event that took place last year raised more than $400k for Operation PAVE which led to the opening of new rehabilitation centers across the country.
