Esri and cybersecurity firm RedSeal Networks have partnered to develop a geospatial cyber framework with the goal of helping defense, civilian and intelligence customers avoid network threats.
The alliance seeks to combine Esri’s geospatial technology with RedSeal’s network architecture to help organizations analyze the potential impact of cyber and physical events on their operations, Esri said Monday.
RedSeal has designed a software that works to generate information network topologies as well as create a model for accessing vulnerable systems, data, infrastructures and applications.
“Federal customers have requested a COP [common operational picture] for years, but until now, it has been unclear exactly how to integrate cybersecurity,” said Kimberly Baker, RedSeal vice president for public sector.
Jeff Peters, Esri director of federal programs, said RedSeal’s platform is built to help customers with IT network defense and modeling.
Esri will demonstrate the unified framework at an Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association-hosted cyber symposium to be held on June 24 and 25 in Baltimore.
