BMC Unveils AWS-Based IT Mgmt Tool With USDA Funding; Robin Purohit Comments

BMC Software has introduced an information technology management offering to the Amazon Web Services ecosystem in an effort to comply with the U.S. government’s cloud policy.

The Agriculture Department funded the launch of BMC Remedy OnDemand on AWS in order for the tool to meet the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program requirements, BMC said Monday.

BMC aims for the move to help agencies gain access to digital data from various devices in a secured environment under the government’s Cloud First Policy.

“With Remedy OnDemand for public sector, federal agencies have access to a modern, trusted platform for delivering IT service management in a secure cloud environment,” said Robin Purohit, president of ITSM at BMC.

Users are able to access the BMC MyIT self-service app and the BMC AppZone app store through the Remedy OnDemand.
