CH2M HILL‘s contract to provide operations, maintenance and management services to Fayetteville, Arkansas’Â wastewater facilities has been renewed for another five years and expanded to add engineering services.
The company said Wednesday that its public-private partnership with the Fayetteville city council started in 1987 and includes facility management, design and construction services and sustainability projects.
“This has been one of our flagship partnerships for many, many years, and we are extremely excited it will continue for five more years and beyond,” says Steve Meininger, senior vice president and managing director of operations management services at CH2M HILL.
Services cover two wastewater treatment plants, 38 wastewater lift stations, an industrial pretreatment program, an environmental laboratory, a biosolids management site, a wetland mitigation site and a hay harvesting and marketing operation.
CH2M HILL has also supported Fayetteville’s sustainability efforts through a Sustainability Summit sponsorship, adoption of new technology and work on wildlife habitat restoration projects.
The partnership is a recipient of the 2011 National Council of Public Private Partnerships Service Award, among other honors.
“They are such an integrated part of our team, I couldn’t imagine not having their talent and expertise working on behalf of our city, and our citizens,” said Don Marr, Fayetteville chief of staff.
The contract renewal runs through Dec. 31, 2019.
