Louisa Long JaffeLouisa Long Jaffe, CEO of Technical and Project Engineering and 28-year veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, has received the National Veteran-Owned Business Association’s Woman Vetrepreneur of the Year award.

With at least 30 years of business ownership, management, public relations, marketing and IT experience, Jaffe is the inaugural recipient of the award, an extension of the annual Vetrepreneur of the Year recognition for notable veteran business owners, TAPE said Wednesday.

“I hope that the story of my journey inspires the entrepreneurial spirit in other female veterans who hold dreams of business ownership,” said Jaffe.

She has worked in media relations and public affairs under the secretary of the Army Public Affairs Office for 12 years prior to founding TAPE in 2003.

The company now employs 55 veterans out of 200 workers who serve government clients.

Jaffe will be honored at the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council National Conference and Business Fair on June 23.
