Ganesh Bell, formerly an executive at ServiceSource, has joined GE as chief digital officer and general manager of commercial software and analytics within the company’s power and water business.
Steve Bolze, president and CEO of GE Power & Water, said Thursday the new role was created to develop and market new analytics and software offerings.
Bell will work to oversee the development of GE Power & Water’s market channels and lead its software strategy by matching GE’s digital and hardware technologies.
He most recently served as executive vice president, general manager and chief products officer at ServiceSource after holding VP roles for product strategy and management within the business intelligence and technology group and for portfolio strategy within the office of CEO at SAP.
Bell previously worked at PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards and YOUcentric.
