Serco has been presented with the Lawton-Fort Sill Economic Development Corp.’s Economic Development Appreciation Award for contributing to Lawton, Oklahoma’s economic growth through its $30 million investment in the community.
The company’s site in Lawton employs 400 local residents and supports the health benefit contract with the Department of Health and Human Services‘ Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Serco said May 22.
“We are proud of our role in supporting jobs and economic growth in Lawton. This community was selected for a variety of reasons, including the high-caliber employee base,” said Carlo Uchello, Serco’s vice president for federal civilian services.
The site, managed by Robin Myers, handles tasks such as document scanning and analysis, data entry, quality control, project management and file and case management.
