James Smith, formerly a program director and management specialist at Parsons, has been promoted to the vice president ranks in the company’s environment and infrastructure group and will oversee its program and project delivery functions.
“He is a valued member of our team, and we know that he will continue to assist us in delivering successful programs and projects to our customers,” Virginia Grebbien, Parsons group president, said Thursday.
Smith has managed facility programs for 22 years and has worked in areas such as construction accounting, cost control, code compliance and public sector bidding requirements.
He was in charge of school district capital improvement programs in Georgia, Louisiana and Texas in his previous role at Parsons.
Smith graduated with a construction management degree from the Southern College of Technology in Marietta, Georgia.
