FireEye_logo_EMNATO has added a FireEye-built threat prevention tool to the alliance’s Information Assurance Product Catalogue and certified the platform for use by member nations and partner organizations.

The NIAPC vets information assurance products and packages for NATO Systems Operations Centers through three levels of assessment that determine which information classification those products can secure, FireEye said Tuesday.

“Advanced persistent threats are becoming a very tangible threat to the governmental and, ultimately, private organizations that contribute to NATO’s mission of safeguarding freedom,” said Paul Davis, FireEye vice president for Europe.

Davis added that member nations are targets for those looking to steal information.

FireEye’s AX Series works to inspect suspicious files and execute malware by using the FireEye Multi-vector Virtual Execution engine to extract forensic data on malware behavior.
