Lockheed Martin has partnered with the Open Information Security Foundation to integrate cybersecurity standards into OISF’s open source intrusion detection and intrusion prevention platform for automated sharing of cyber threat data.
The company and organization integrated TAXII, STIX and CybOX standards to the Suricata Engine in order to communicate data on cyber threats between the OISF and a “cyber sensor,” Lockheed said Thursday.
“Our commitment to innovation allows us to continually integrate new solutions to keep our nation’s critical infrastructure protected from adversaries,” said Rohan Amin, director of cyber and data analytics at Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions.
OISF, a non-profit organization, works with software developers, cybersecurity experts and the open source security community to develop new IDS/IPS technology against emerging cyber threats.
