Maggie Chan Jones, senior vice president at Level 3 Communications‘ North America marketing practice, has been named the 2014 Woman of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications.
Level 3 said Thursday the award was given at WICT’s 15th Annual Walk of Fame event last week, honoring industry leaders who demonstrate the “WICT Touchstones of Leadership.”
“It is a privilege and an honor to be recognized by WICT, an organization that shares my commitment to supporting the growth and advancement of women in the cable and telecommunications industries,” Jones said.
In her current role at Level 3, Jones is in charge of the company’s marketing strategy, programs and investments in North America.
She worked at Microsoft for seven years, most recently as marketing director of U.S. cloud services and Office 365.
Jones also served in leadership roles for product marketing and management and channel strategy and development at Sun Microsystems and ADIC.
