Ned Goldberg, former chief information security officer at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, has joined Reston, Virginia-based contracting firm CENTERPOINT as its new vice president responsible for the company’s cybersecurity business.
“His experience delivering technology solutions, along with his thorough understanding of the issues that agencies face in this era of increased cyber threats, will ensure that CENTERPOINT’s cyber team is focused on the key factors affecting the security of our nation’s critical assets and information,” said CEO Baly Ambegaoker on Wednesday.
Goldberg, a 12-year FDIC CISO, has also worked with federal agencies such as the Government Accountability Office and Treasury Department throughout his 30 years of information technology experience.
He also headed the interagency security working group of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council and was a member of the Office of Management and Budget privacy workgroup and the President’s Identity Theft Task Force.
