Fluor Corp. JV to Construct $743M Int’l Gas Pipeline

Fluor Corp. and Empresas ICA‘s joint venture ICA Fluor has announced a pipeline contract worth $743 million with TAG Pipelines Sur S. de R.L. de C.V., Fluor said Wednesday.

The pipeline will funnel gas through the Mexican states of San Luis Potosí, Querétaro and Guanajuato, Fluor said.

The projects is part of the Los Ramones transportation system and is expected to be completed in 2016.

The Los Ramones transportation system’s goal is to supply Mexico with natural gas from the U.S.

Fluor secured a $357 million portion of the contract value in the first quarter of 2014, according to Fluor.
